Grease Monkey® Supports K9s For Warriors In Summer Of 2015
Greenwood Village, Colo., June 19, 2015 – Grease Monkey International, Inc. is supporting K9s For Warriors during 3rd Quarter of 2015. Participating Grease Monkey® centers will be contributing and collecting donations throughout July, August, and September. In 2014 Grease Monkey collected over $75,000 for the organization.
K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post 9/11. Our goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignity and independence.

Autotex Windshield Wipers is also participating by providing a donation based on the sales of all wiper blades during the summer months. A new camouflage wiper blade design will be available to help honor military veterans and raise awareness for K9s For Warriors.

Grease Monkey® Senior Vice President Earns Franchise Executive Certification
Greenwood Village, Colo., March 4, 2015 – Grease Monkey International, Inc. is pleased to announce that it’s Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development, Ralph Yarusso, has been recognized as a Certified Franchise Executive by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives.
Mr. Yarusso completed a comprehensive course of study in franchise management offered by the institute, which is the academic branch of the International Franchise Association’s Educational Foundation. IFA is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide and honored this year’s designees during its annual convention in Las Vegas, NV.
This recognition is one of many Mr. Yarusso has earned over the past several decades. His desire to be a leader began as a former Air Force Air Crew Member on the C141 with over 3000+ hours of flight time experience. As a multi-unit Meineke Franchisee he was named IFA and Meineke Franchisee of the Year. He was also first in his region to attain the “million dollar center” sales mark, Franchisee Forum Member/Director for the IFA, Chairman of the Meineke National Council / FAC and twice voted as President of the Meineke Dealers Association, to name only a few. Mr. Yarusso also was a member of the Driven Brands Sr. Executive team as RVP/COO prior to joining Grease Monkey International. Attaining his CFE is a clear example of Mr. Yarusso’s continued dedication and belief in franchising both as a Franchisee and now Franchisor.
Nearly 1,800 franchise executives are currently enrolled or have received certification. More than 300 IFA-member companies currently have one or more executives enrolled in the program that provides benefits such as specialized knowledge, industry recognition, peer-level networking and professional standing.

Grease Monkey® Recognizes Top Performing Technicians In Second Annual National Pit Cew Challenge
Greenwood Village, Colo., November 13, 2014 – Grease Monkey International, Inc. conducted its 2nd Annual National Pit Crew Challenge on Sunday, Oct. 12 at Grease Monkey® Center #649 in Castle Rock, Colo.
The challenge is part of the Certified Pit Crew Program that Grease Monkey® developed to recognize the organization’s top performing technicians. In order for a Grease Monkey® location to become a Certified Pit Crew, the location must meet a strict set of criteria including top scores on the technician required certification courses and competitive time trials on the Full Service Oil Change. Locations that become certified are eligible to participate in the annual Winners’ Circle Challenge, which consists of Area, Regional and National competitions.
The National Champions, Pit Crew #739 from Fairmont, West Virginia completed their Full Service Oil Change with the fastest time. The crew received a cash prize, leather jackets, recognition patches on team member racing crew uniforms, individual trophies, and a travelling trophy to be displayed in the winning team’s location for one year. The center is owned by franchisee Gary Kelley.
Pit Crew #687, owned by Ron Morrow, were the returning champions from Parker, Colorado. The crew finished in second place this year and received a cash prize and individual trophies.
The checks and trophies were presented to the winners at the conclusion of the event. The winning team from Fairmont was escorted by limousine to a championship party after the competition. Championship highlights video can be found on YouTube.
Front Range Grease Monkey® Locations Donate To National Breast Cancer Foundation
Greenwood Village, Colo., December 23, 2013 – Grease Monkey™ locations across the Denver Metro area will donate over $5,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation this month. During the month of October, 57 locations along the Front Range sold windshield wiper blades, some of which included a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon logo. During that month, Grease Monkey® centers collected $1 for each wiper blade sold.
Grease Monkey® has been a supporter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation for 1 year, and plans to continue its support of the organization next year.
Grease Monkey® International Recognizes Outstanding Franchisees At Annual Conference
Greenwood Village, Colo., October 28, 2013 – Grease Monkey International, Inc. announced top franchisee award winners for outstanding performance in the prior year at its 2013 Annual Conference held in Oak Brook, Illinois in October. The winners were recognized in front of their peers for outstanding performance in center marketing and operations.

The President’s Award was presented to Victor Hinojosa, from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, in recognition of excellence in marketing, operations an overall commitment to the Grease Monkey™ System.

Grease Monkey® International, Inc. Acquires 30-Store LubePro's Chain
Greenwood Village, Colo., September 3, 2013 – Colorado-based Grease Monkey International, Inc. (GMI) announced today that through its affiliates, it acquired the assets and franchise contracts of LubePro’s International, Inc., a 30-store chain of fast lubrication and automotive maintenance centers located in Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Of the 30 stores, 16 will be converted to the Grease Monkey™ brand and operated by an affiliate of GMI. The franchise owners at the remaining 14 LubePro’s™ locations have been offered the opportunity to convert to Grease Monkey™ branded centers. GMI expects to complete the rebranding of the centers converting to the Grease Monkey™ brand by mid-November.
“The purchase of the successful LubePro’s™ chain is an exciting opportunity for Grease Monkey International to build the presence of the Grease Monkey™ brand in the Midwestern part of the United States,” says John B.
