PCV Valve & Breather Element Replacement
What are the PCV Valve & Breather Element and How Do They Work?
The PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve and breather element work together in the vehicle’s emission control system. The PCV valve regulates the flow of gases to the intake manifold. The breather element, or crankcase breather, keeps foreign particles from entering the crankcase. They work together to keep gases and vapors from being expelled through the exhaust, reducing vehicle emissions. The PCV valve and breather element keep your vehicle running cleaner and help reduce sludge and contaminant buildup.
